Description
Gold Ruby is a rich, smooth working GemTone™ made entirely from scratch here in the USA. Unworked rods may vary from pink to a clear tint, but will self-strike to a gorgeous cranberry hue in the flame. The more the glass is worked, the more the color will strike in. For very small applications, try gathering the rod and pulling down to desired diameter to develop the color. For hollow work, we recommend solid color blowouts to fully appreciate the clarity and saturation of this Museum-Quality glass.
Recommended Garage/Anneal temp: 1065°F
Abnormal Quality Description: Rods that have fallen below first quality and have been deemed Abnormal. This is high-quality, stone-free glass, but the rods are imperfect. They may be short, slightly thick or thin, have a bit of air or other odd imperfections that affect their appearance. Be aware that there may be color variance in our Abnormal glasses. There are no refunds or exchanges on Abnormal glass – all sales are final.
