Calypso BETA “B” is a fun, sky blue-colored EffecTone™
This batch has a bit more opacity than the original, but is less stiff as well.
This is a Sandcrafted version of Calypso and is still in-progress. This color is similar to Meta-Terrania in that it is a copper-based glass, and may be considered an “advanced” color if you are not familiar with its working properties. A soft/neutral flame is recommended to avoid surface reduction, however excessive oxygen can lead to devitrification. Coating with clear will help mitigate these effects. That said, as an EffecTone, the copper reds and the opaque whites are an intentional part of this color.
Recommended Garage/Anneal temp: 1075°F
Abnormal Quality Description: Rods that have fallen below first quality and have been deemed Abnormal. This is high-quality, stone-free glass, but the rods are imperfect. They may be short, slightly thick or thin, have a bit of air or other odd imperfections that affect their appearance. Be aware that there may be color variance in our Abnormal glasses. There are no refunds or exchanges on Abnormal glass – all sales are final.
