Meta-Terrania is a vibrant, aqua-colored AuraTone™
This is our latest iteration of Meta (2023) and is the most stable and vibrant to date. However, it is easier to get the copper reduction with this version, so please test with your application before using in something larger. This is a copper-based glass, and may be considered an “advanced” color if you are not familiar with its working properties. A neutral flame is recommended to avoid surface reduction, however excessive oxygen can lead to devitrification. Coating with clear will help mitigate these effects.
For Blowouts: Find a proper neutral flame on your torch and heat it gently at first to gather it up. Once the blowout is made, encasement is typically recommended to avoid copper reduction/devit/etc.
Recommended Garage/Anneal temp: 1075°F
Abnormal Quality Description: Rods that have fallen below first quality and have been deemed Abnormal. This is high-quality, stone-free glass, but the rods are imperfect. They may be short, slightly thick or thin, have a bit of air or other odd imperfections that affect their appearance. Be aware that there may be color variance in our Abnormal glasses. There are no refunds or exchanges on Abnormal glass – all sales are final.
